The Federation of the Hellenic American Societies of New England in
cooperation with the Pan Macedonian Association and the Maliotis Cultural
Center will be presenting
the Historian, Researcher and Film Director of the Hellenic influence to
the world, Mr. Demetrios Manolesakis on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 5:30
at the Maliotis Cultural Center, 50
Goddard Ave., Brookline,
MA.
Mr. Manolesakis documentary "Hellas, Gate of Europe
to the Mediterranean" will be
featured. This documentary was filmed on site, in Italy, Corsica, Spain,
Libya,
Syria,
and Asia Minor.
In addition, a 15 minute film (report) will be presented, which
covers Mr. Manolesakis new discoveries, of unknown Greek descendents of
Alexander the Great, on the mountains of Pamir in Tajikistan (Iskantari
Pamirsi = Alexandrians of Pamir), and a trailer of the new documentary
of the Araukanas of Argentina and Chile that their traditions show that
they are descendents of the Ancient Spartans!.
A
brief discussion and question session will take place with the Director.
